Every person at one time or another can have issues with debt and money, and just because yours have gone way out of control, you don’t have to wallow in self-pity all the time. It’s time to take control and manage your life the way you’d want it to be. To be able to do this, know your ABCs: adjustment, balance, and contentment.

Splurging while saving is seld destructive behavior. It’s like a 300 poind person eating a gallon of ice cream.

It is critical to adjust your attitude and focus on the goal of becoming debt free. You have all the tools you need to create wealth, health, love, and happiness in your life. Start with this positive frame of mind and know what your long-term goals are.

Once you’ve adjusted your expectations, try to strike a balance between your lifestyle wants, needs, and goals. You have to be aware of what you can afford then adjust your goals and your lifestyle accordingly. If you have plans for the future, you need to cut back on some aspects. Also, find ways to indulge without spending too much. Relish on little luxuries and be content with what you have. While it’s tempting to go all-out on big-ticket items you realistically just cannot afford, you shouldn’t let yourself get influenced by what the others are into. Be happy with what you have and work with it.

You also have to be aware of your own unique capabilities. Unless you enter a field that requires professional expertise, posts are generally open to anyone who can do their job well. Your college course may help you direct your choices, but this isn’t the end-all and be-all of your existence. Brave other fields because you might just discover a passion that you actually excel in.

Also focus on postive affirmations to gain control of your debt and money issues. Banish your money insecurity. Insecurities come in all forms and packages. Accept your flaws and work at toning down your inner perfectionist every once in a while. When you expect everything to run right on track, you are only momentarily happy, and this can actually be tedious. Once you realize that reality is never perfect, you’ll learn to appreciate your little quirks and the life that you lead. This can be a scary thought, but you also need to learn facing your fears. One of the best ways to transform your fears is to discover just how realistic they can be. Chances are, most of them will be unfounded. These are nothing more than your irrational and scared self taking over. When you see that your fear has been hindering you from doing the things that you deserve, you’d see that this was nothing more than just an imaginary opportunity-gobbling monster.

Last but not least, always believe in yourself. Staying positive is the key to being confident even in the most trying times. Not only does a sunny disposition make you feel good inside, it also decreases the chances of depression and self pity, showing and frustrations building up. Opening to all of life’s experiences empowers your intuition to become a wiser individual. You can be who you want to believe if you just learn to believe in what you can do. This is the best way to get the life that you most want and deserve.

A bad credit report is one that contains derogatory comments. Let's talk about what "derogatory comments" are and a sly way to get them removed.

As you can see from our pole results, many of you are concerned with your debt and how to get out of it. Credit card debt can destroy you financially. The major reason is the high interest rate. High interest rates are tied to the quality of your credit report. A bad credit report is one that contains derogatory comments. Let’s talk about what “derogatory comments” are and a sly way to get them removed.

A derogatory comment is an entry on your report that says you are not a good credit risk. It is a big negative. Most people who are interested in lending to you (or are checking on your character) will look at the derogatory section of the credit report.

Some of the most damaging information you will find in the derogatory section of the credit report concerns bankruptcies and foreclosures. A bankruptcy will be on your credit report for up to 10 years. Both bankruptcies and foreclosures are the most difficult derogatory comments to dispute.

The second type of derogatory comment on your credit report are accounts that have gone to collection. If a creditor has sent your account to collection it will impact your credit report severely. A derogatory collection account comment can stay on your credit report for up to seven years.

The third type of derogatory comment are accounts that show a slow pay history or past due. Typically, this will be your car loans, credit cards, medical bills, or any other account that you have been late on.

Here’s the secret: the most effective technique in removing derogatory information on your credit report is to claim that the debt in question was not yours! Federal Law requires that upon your request, all creditors must show you written proof that the account in question is in fact yours. Written proof is a copy of the contract you signed with the original creditor. The fact of the matter is that most account information is stored on the creditor’s computer and chances are excellent that they have thrown out all the proof that this is your account.

The only creditors that may have proof are the courts (Recent Bankruptcies, Unpaid Tax Liens, Unpaid Judgments & Unpaid Child Support).

Federal Laws are in your favor. If you say an account is not yours and the creditor does not have written proof that the account belongs to you, they must remove the account from your credit file and cease all collection activity.

You should file your dispute in writing along with the basis for your claim. This starts the 30 day period in which the credit agency must respond to your dispute. They will make contact with the creditor and if the creditor fails to provide proof that the account was in fact yours the credit reporting agency must assume that your dispute is accurate and must remove the disputed item — the derogatory comment — from your credit report.

Claiming that a derogatory account is not yours is a very effective method of removing damaging information from your credit report.
